Entrance & Storefront Design
This presentation will be a general overview of Aluminum Entrances
& Storefront design. Learning objectives include: Basic requirements
to accommodate traffic, plus the effects of wind, rain and temperature
variations; Checklists for safety, security, ease of operation and
construction; Suggestions for good entrance design; Data on frames
and framing, as well as selection of various types of entrance systems
and their operating features.

Curtain
Wall Design & Installation
Participants will discuss and have a better understanding of Curtain
Wall terminology, types, classification of wall systems, design
considerations and product testing. Installation objectives include,
the role of the Architect/Engineer, in regard to concerns and responsibilities,
anchorage, sealant, application/performance, overall quality assurance
and how these can affect cost. We will also explore the respective
responsibilities of the Installation Contractor and General Contractor.

Leed™ Certification,
Fenestration's Contribution to a Greener Future
This presentation takes an innovative approach
to optimizing the use of Aluminum Fenestration products as an integral
component of a LEED™ Certified project. Objectives include an
overview of environmentally friendly manufacturing practices, as well
as the impact of fenestration and daylighting on design, energy consumption
and productivity. Participants will acquire a better understanding
of how, and in which category, aluminum fenestration products can
contribute towards achieving LEED™ points and certification.
